I like this record. It’s not a top ten for me though. Why do I have this many copies of it? I HAVE NO CLUE. The first time I saw them was at a tiny place with maybe 20 people in it. The last time I saw them was at a much bigger venue and it sold out… They have definitely blown up. Good for them.

Dead Icons is a cool new hardcore band out of Kentucky. I’ve seen them two or three times and they don’t disappoint. I was pretty excited when I found out that they were putting three songs from Vultures on the full length. I actually got the record release version of this on eBay for $1.04. I feel bad for that guy but I’m stoked to have it. Check them out if you haven’t!

Stick Together is one of my favorite hardcore bands. They talk about stuff that matters to me. They play catchy, meaningful, fun songs that I can relate too. Thats pretty much what I look for in a band.

Stoked to see this band again! Surprised its gonna be at sound and fury though? haha I really think Seahaven is pretty hard to pinpoint genre wise. They make cool music and they’re excellent musicians, especially their drummer. Ghost took a little bit of listening to for me to come around but Winter Forever was an instant classic. I really hope they can continue to keep making these kind of original songs.

So I went to see Ivy League TX Tuesday and there were 3 people there selling their records for cheap because they needed money for tour. So after a couple years of sleeping on Lemuria I was on the bridge 9 store and saw there LP for the 100th time and finally decided to check them out. I went to facebook and listened to pretty much there whole discography several times. I always wondered why they were on bridge 9 and I guess its because there just that good. If I ran a hardcore label I’d sign them too. Because they are too good to sleep on. I honestly don’t think they’ve written a bad song. I have the new Varoom Allure 7” in the mail and I think I’m gonna also pick up the Chautauqua county 7” and the split with the ergs! as soon as I have the moneyz.

FOCUSEDxMINDS is  Cool straight edge band doing different stuff. Their music doesn’t sound like everything else. They also have a lot of pride in Midwest hardcore and I think it’s real cool that they try to promote other Midwest bands anytime they get a chance.

Truth Inside is one of my favorite up and coming bands. Youth crew hardcore is my favorite and they do it as good as anyone! Stoked That my bands playing with them when they come back to oklahoma this summer. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick up the other copies of best times and have a complete collection of that too! I also still need the 3 way split with XCurraheeX and XunforceX and I believe they did a tape which has different covers? idk I’m too broke right now but it’ll happen.

I could never come up with a Favorite band but if i had to it might be Verse. or Champion. Haha Verse was a straight edge band until they broke up in 2009. Now they’re back together and no longer a straight edge band. Verse is socially conscious ‘political’ band that had more than just the straight edge to talk about. Hopefully I’ll get to see them this time around. The only Verse record I need to pick up is Rebuild and I’m Really looking forward to their new record too.
